If you've never been to H2O International, I don't know what you're waiting for. This year was my fourth being in attendance, and despite the sideways rain, flooded streets, high winds and car mishaps, was definitely my absolute favorite to date.
Why was this year my favorite? Simply put, the people. Sure, it's an incredible feeling to mob up and down the strip cruising with all the amazing builds that people put together, but those builds wouldn't be there without the vision of those who created them. Since the weather was less than ideal, I spent majority of my time seeing friends from all over the world who I'm lucky to see once a year. We stayed Monday to Monday this year, so we were fortunate enough to be able to enjoy some nice weather before the impending shitstorm rolled in on Wednesday.
The 45th Street Taphouse is always a huge common meeting space. Slowly but surely, cars started rolling in on Tuesday and by Wednesday, the lot was completely full.
